About me
I am so glad you found my website, and I look forward to supporting you and your child with their communication skills.
I qualified from Birmingham City University in 2013. I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP), and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have a fully enhanced DBS certificate and am regularly trained in mandatory areas such as safeguarding and GDPR.
I am based in North London and primarily work in the London Borough of Barnet and surrounding areas. If you are outside of this area and are interested in working with me, please contact me to discuss whether this is possible.
I take a child-centred approach and work collaboratively with the adults around the child to create functional targets within a fun and nurturing environment.
My story
I was lucky enough to grow up with an incredible brother with Angelman Syndrome. James had profound and multiple learning needs and went through the special school system in Barnet. He opened my eyes to a whole new world.
My passion for speech and language therapy started through him, and he inspired me to study the degree at university and pursue my career. We sadly lost James in February 2023, and I am now more inspired and motivated than ever to continue helping families navigate their unique journeys.
I pride myself on offering practical, varied and fun therapy sessions to develop functional communication skills in a range of activities and contexts. I work in line with recent evidence base to ensure my interventions are effective and tailored to individual needs, to help children reach their full potential.
