We have been working with Megan for about 3 years now and the progress our son has made in that time is enormous!

 

From the first time we met Megan, she took time to talk to us as parents and to get a detailed profile of our son. We immediately felt at ease with her as a family. I found watching her work with our son extremely fascinating. She has a real talent for working with children and young people. As our son is on the autism spectrum, he can find meeting new people very difficult but he was immediately at ease with Megan and has built a wonderful relationship with her over the years. He will ask if she is coming over every week and looks forward to his sessions.

 

 Our son has made huge strides in his communication during his time with Megan. We can definitely put this down to Megan’s commitment to help him communicate in the best way that he can. When we first started working with Megan we never dreamed of having a back and forth conversation with our son but she has given him many tools that he now uses to start conversations and even ask questions! Her work with him has given him enough confidence to be able to approach conversations that he would never have had before.

 

Megan has a personalised approach which incorporates our son’s special interests and means that every session is a joy for him to be a part of. So much so that he would ask when Megan will come to ‘play’. Her approach is so engaging that our son didn’t realise that he is putting in some real work when she is here!

 

We’ve learned a lot from watching Megan engage with our son, and she’s given us some great activities and resources to use with him in our own time.

 

We cannot recommend Megan enough! We don’t know what we would have done had we not found her.
