Welcome!

Hi! I’m Megan, I qualified from Birmingham City University in 2013. I am a member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, (RCSLT) and Health and Care Professions Council, (HCPC).  I have a fully enhanced DBS certificate and am regularly trained in mandatory areas such as Safeguarding and GDPR. I am based in Mill Hill, North London and primarily work in the London Borough of Barnet and surrounding areas. If you are outside of this area and are interested in working with me please contact me to discuss if this is possible.

I have been working for over 10 years and have a wide range of experience, working in mainstream schools, special educational needs schools, nurseries, children’s centres, clinics, hospitals and within children’s homes.

I take a child-centred approach and work collaboratively with adults around the child to create functional targets within a fun and nurturing environment. I am so glad you found my website and look forward to supporting you and your child with their communication skills.

My Story

I was lucky enough to grow up with an incredible brother with Angelman Syndrome. James had profound and multiple learning needs and went through the special school system in Barnet; he opened my eyes to a whole new world. My passion for speech and language therapy started through him and he inspired me to study the degree at university and pursue my career. We sadly lost James in February 2023 and I am now more inspired and motivated than ever to continue helping families navigate their unique journeys.

I pride myself on offering practical, varied and fun therapy sessions to develop functional communication skills in a range of activities and contexts. I work in line with recent evidence base to ensure my interventions are effective, tailored to individual needs to help children reach their full potential.
